• What is private suite karaoke?

  At Voicebox, every party is exclusive! For events big and small, we aim for a modern approach to karaoke, giving you the power to set the mood and the groove. No KJs, bulky song books, or waiting on requests. Just you & your crew!

   

  With a swipe of your smartphone, customize your suite’s lighting levels, turn on the disco ball, easily search for your favorite songs and add them to the karaoke rotation. Enjoy delicious craft cocktails and snacks as well, with our attentive, personal service.

• Do I need a reservation?

  Walk-ins are always welcome! However, reservations are highly recommended as space is limited. Our prime days, Fridays & Saturdays, do fill up early so be sure to plan ahead.

   

  Book a party for a future date over the phone at (503) 303-8220, or use our online reservation system. If you’re hoping to sing tonight, give us a call and ask about our remaining availability! Our Guest Services team is available weekdays from 9am – 5pm and from 10am – 3pm on weekends to assist you.

• Are families and young adults welcome?

  Yes! Guests under the age of 21 are welcome to sing with us on Fridays & Saturday before 7pm and Sunday through Thursday before 9pm.

• Do you have food and beverages available for purchase?

  Our Voicebox locations offer a full bar with a rotating selection of signature cocktails, mocktails, local beers, wines, and an array of cold sakès. For those craving something to munch, check out our small bites and shareable snacks.

   

  Planning ahead? We offer a selection of appetizers & party platters for groups large and small available for pre-order. Please contact us at reservations@voiceboxkaraoke.com to discuss catering options for your event. We ask that catering orders be placed at least 10 days in advance of your reservation.

• Do you allow outside food or beverage?

  We do not allow any outside food or beverages to be brought into our location. This includes water bottles or containers like party cups. Pitchers of water are provided in each suite for you and your guests.

   

  The one exception to this rule is a celebratory dessert such as a birthday cake, cupcakes or cookies. We do offer a free cake-kit with plates, forks, napkins, and serving utensils if you need them. Just contact Guest Services and let them know if you would like one!

• Can I decorate my suite?

  Yes! We welcome decorations like banners, streamers, and props. Our staff is happy to provide you with painter’s tape for attaching decorations to the suite walls, so long as they do not cover the window in the door. We ask that you do not bring self-inflated or confetti filled balloons, as well as anything else with small parts like feather boas, glitter, confetti, or silly string. Helium filled balloons are acceptable but must be weighed down.

   

  Planning a surprise party or need more time to decorate? We offer a complimentary 15 minutes of set up time before your reservation when available. Please contact us in advance to check availability and let us help make your event go off without a hitch!

• Should I choose the group or individual rate?

  For parties of 10 or more our group rate is the most cost effective. Group rates can be split on up to 3 different cards. Individual rates are recommended for groups of 9 or less, or parties who wish each guest to pay for their own suite time. Your guests are welcome to start their own tabs for food & beverages, regardless of the rate chosen.

• How long should I book a reservation for?

  The average reservation is 2 hours, with most guests wanting to stay longer. When choosing a party length, consider the number of guests attending, as well as allowing time for food & drink orders. We book a minimum of 1 hour and in 15 minute increments after that.

   

  Please arrive 15 minutes before your reservation’s start time for check-in. We ask that you are responsible for the amount of time that you are booked, regardless of whether you arrive late or leave early. If you need to make any adjustments to your reservation length, please give our Guest Services team a call at (503) 303-8220.

• How big are the suites?

  Our standard suites vary in size, seating anywhere from 6-16 guests comfortably, depending on availability. The premier suites vary in size by location, seating anywhere from 22-30 guests.

   

  When booking, please consider the maximum number of guests you may be expecting, and we will do our best to place you in whichever suite will be the most comfortable for you. Please give our Guest Services team a call and let us know if your party size changes, or if you’re not finding what you’re looking for online.

• What is the difference between a standard and a premier suite?

  Our premier suites are larger and ideal for bigger groups of 17 or more. Premier suites offer the same great amenities as our standard suites, but with an additional mic and ample space for dancing and catering.

   

  The large premier suite in Northwest seats up to 25 guests comfortably. In Southeast, the small premier suite seats up to 22 and the large premier suite seats up to 30. Premier suites have their own separate rates.

   

  *Please note: Southeast’s large premier suite has a skylight which can affect lighting in the suite during the day. Please reach out to Guests Services if you would like to schedule a time to view the suite in person before your reservation.

• Can Voicebox accommodate large events and company parties?

  Yes! Voicebox offers premier suites for larger parties, as well as full venue buy-outs for more elaborate events! Fill out our reservation request form or contact our Guest Services team and we would be happy to discuss your party needs, or schedule a tour of our facility.

• Is Voicebox wheelchair accessible?

  Yes! Our locations are fully ADA accessible, with suites large enough to accommodate a wheelchair or other mobility device. We recommend dropping guests off close to the entrance before parking, as there is limited handicapped parking in the area.

• Are pets allowed?

  Pets are not allowed inside the building or in your private suite, at any time.

   

  In compliance with the ADA, we do allow service animals who provide a specific function for their owner. This does not include emotional support animals.

• What should I expect on arrival?

  In order to make the most of your karaoke session, please arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time for check in. Our host will check your IDs and swipe a card to start a tab for you. Once you are all checked in, your server will direct you to your suite and walk you through the process of how to use our song system at vbsongs.com.

   

  If you are running late at all, please give us a call at (503) 303-8220 prior to your reservation time and let us know when you think you’ll arrive.

• How does payment and gratuity work?

  The host will swipe a card at check in to start a tab for your reservation. If you would like to pay with cash, please notify the host at check in. For parties booked at the individual rate, guests will each start their own separate tab for suite time. The group rate is billed on one tab, but can be split on up to 3 different cards if you would like. Guests are welcome to start their own tabs for food & beverages, regardless of the rate chosen. You will be billed for the amount of time that you booked, so be sure to arrive 15 minutes early for check in so as not to miss out on any valuable singing time!

   

  Tabs are brought in towards the end of your party for everyone to sign and close out. A reservation at Voicebox is more than just a space to sing, it’s a full-service experience. In addition to food and drink service, our servers are there to maximize your karaoke experience. Most of our guests show appreciation for this service by including a tip on the value of their karaoke suite rental in addition to the food and drink tip.

   

  Please remember to sign your check before leaving! There is an automatic 15% walkout fee applied to any tabs that are not closed out & signed at the end of the night. That service charge is applied to the entire tab, including suite time.

• What if I need to cancel?

  We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of karaoke. There are no cancellation fees. You can cancel your reservation online through the link in your confirmation email, or call us at (503) 303-8220. Please notify us as soon as possible so that we can open the space up for other guests.

• Can I browse the song library before my party?

  Yes! Check out vbsongs.com before you arrive to peruse our extensive song library and start planning your set list! Don’t forget to share it with the rest of your party so they can begin picking out songs as well. They can also create a favorites list by entering their email and clicking the star to the left of the song title. Once you’re comfortably in your suite and ready to party, your server will explain how to add songs to the queue.

• What if you don’t have my song?

  Missing your favorite song? Let us know by filling out our song request form at vbsongs.com! Please keep in mind that not all songs have a karaoke version available. We can’t guarantee we’ll be able to add all requests to our library, but will certainly keep them on our radar for future updates. We are adding new songs every day, so be sure to check back regularly to see what’s new!
